Robert Tucci RT-88+ Tuba Mouthpiece

The RT-88+ has a heavier shell compared to the RT-88. This gives it stronger projection and a darker sound. Response is very stable and benefits both the low and high Register.

Formerly named Perantucci mouthpieces, this Robert Tucci mouthpiece is a very popular size. The cup of the RT-88 is wider yet not quite as deep as that of the RT-50. The sound has great strength and depth combined with huge dynamics over a wide range.  The middle and low register benefit from the cup volume.  The high register is secure yet mellow sounding.

Cup Diameter : 33,5mm diameter. Wide, deep cup.
Rim : 7,0  mm Flat, well-defined inner edge.
Bore : 8,1  mm
Resistance : Low – open blowing.
Any of our mouthpieces can be returned up to 30 days from the purchase date. To receive a full refund, the mouthpiece must be returned without scratches, dents or dings otherwise only a partial return will be given. We recommend you put scotch tape around the shank to prevent scratches if you are unsure if you will be keeping the mouthpiece.

    Excellent mouthpiece, large diameter, well centered tone, blends well in the orchestra, very flexible articulations. It does take some time getting used to the size of this mouthpiece if you are not used to a large diameter mouthpieces but once you do you will thoroughly enjoy playing this mouthpiece. This is one of several RT mouthpieces I have in my arsenal and ALL are of excellent quality, craftsmanship and offer me a wide variety of sound production.

    The mouthpiece is wonderful. And it really did ship the next day. I could play notes that I couldn't before.
