DAC NX-1s Trombone Case

The DAC NX-1S trombone case is customizable case designed for the professional musician. Very light and compact (7.5 lbs), this case fits in most airline overhead compartments, including some of the regional flights.  Velcro attached pads can be placed to suit your needs with just the wide cradle and a small block to support the slide handle in a fixed position. The slide is stored in the base behind the bell in a track, also in a totally customizable arrangement. There is a cover for the open end of the slide to prevent weeping onto the bell.

It looks great and is extremely compact, using all space efficiently. The case comes with two straps, like a backpack, which are permanently attached to four steel D-hoop cleats. The lid has four semi-automatic draw latches and one fully automatic locking flip latch (keys included). There are two handles, one standard and a smaller subway handle on the tail. A set of eight rubber feet allow the case to be stood on bell-end or horizontally on the floor. A rubberized valence helps to keep rain and snow out of the case. The interior features an open floor plan, as is fitting for a fully customizable design.

There are 8 padded blocks and plates of various sizes, a small accessory compartment and a slide end-cover, all attached to the case interior with velcro. These you move and position as required to insure the best fit for your horn.
