Sanctus for Brass Quintet (Schubert/Curnow) Easy to Intermediate
The great Austrian composer Franz Schubert (1797-1828) was a supreme melodist and master of lieder. This transcription is based on his Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Holy) from his German Mass in F. (ca. 1815) for four-part choir, and lends itself well to the expressive qualities of the modern brass quintet.

    Somewhat dissapointed in the arrangement

Our brass group at church is always looking for tunes that can be put together quickly. We do much more difficult pieces than Sanctus but once in a while we need something on very short notice.
We looking forward to this score but sadly disappointed.
The voicing is much different than the recording and completely changes the feel of the song. Same notes but moved to different instruments (t-bone vs trumpet, etc.). Easy enough to move the voicing to it's original but I shouldn't have to.
