Handel’s Op. 4 is not only the first and best known set of organ concertos ever published but it established a genre. These works, classified as the English Organ Concertos, were written for a small theatre organ and chamber orchestra to play in the intermissions between acts of oratorios or other larger works. They were also performed on church organs at special events or services as well as in the bandstands of the Pleasure Gardens of London, England. Includes a score with organ and parts for 2 Bb trumpets (Eb alternates included), horn, trombone and tuba.
