Galliard Battaglia Brass Quintet (Scheidt/arr. Marlatt)

This is a piece that requires no introduction to trumpet players. Samuel Scheidt (1587-1654) was best known as an organist and composer but it was he, in 1624, who wrote Tablatura nova proposing staff notation rather
than tablature. Some editorial dynamics, articulations and suggested ornaments have been included which can be altered at the performers’ discretion. Includes a score and parts for 2 Bb trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba.
