GRADE 3
Originally, this melody came from a British drinking song called "To Anacreon in Heaven". The lyrics from a poem, written by Francis Scott Key after he witnessed the Bristish bombing Fort McHenry in 1814 were added to the melody to create the National Anthem as we know it today. This traditional arrangement skillfully arranged for trumpet trio and fun to play! This setting is arranged by James Klages. A score and all three trumpet parts are included. A sample page from the score can be seen above.
