Carol of the Bells Brass Quintet (Leontovich/ arr. McNeff)

WHILE THE ARRANGEMENT ITSELF IS VERY NICE, THE TRANSCRIPTION OF THE PARTS CONTAIN A NUMBER OF ERRORS.

Never will I figure out how publishers allow certain gems to go out of print. This is a superb arrangement of a carol that perfectly lends itself to an instrumental setting, and Stephen McNeff succeeded in writing something that is equally appealing to performers and audiences. We look forward to bringing it once again to SRO audiences at the Chicago Master Singers' annual Christmas concerts. We are grateful to Canadian Brass for being willing to reprint such arrangements "on demand."

This is one of the best arrangements around of the Ukranian Carol (aka: Carol of the Bells). Unique and very interesting with excellent energy. Definitely not for beginners or intermediate players but still very playable.
