Arnold Jacobs Heritage Tuba Mouthpiece

Excellent mouthpiece. I took up tuba playing again after a 52 year hiatus, and started with a "beginner's" mouthpiece. After a couple of months I realized that I needed a better mouthpiece, and purchased this. It has made lip slurs easier, extended my upper range, and improved my tone in all ranges. Like any new mouthpiece, it requires some time to get used to it, but I've found it to be an excellent purchase.

This is such a Great mouthpiece! I Love how rich and dark of a tone i can get with this thing, as well as being able to get a nice bright tone when i need it. I have it in both American and Euro Shank and have loved both of them!

This is a perfectly fine mouthpiece, but not as good as my Selmansberger "blokepiece." I'll be returning it.

I got this for my my tuba, but I found it complemented my sousaphone even more nicely. It seems to give my Conn36k a more concert tuba like sound. Feels great on my chops and seems as if endurance improved as well. I feel 80%+ of tuba mouthpieces have a rim that is too fat. This one is thin, perhaps thinner than the Conn Helleberg. Keeping it!

I really like this mp. It fits me and my playing style (concert band and brass quintet) better than any other mp in my collection. More secure on intervals, good high and low range and easier to control dynamics. Rim feels secure without biting.

No comments, a fine mouthpiece

Nice sound, lightens up my 6/4 tuba and seems to project better. Good articulation response.
