    Heritage Tuba Mouthpiece

This is a perfectly fine mouthpiece, but not as good as my Selmansberger "blokepiece." I'll be returning it.

    Arnold J Mouthpiece

I got this for my my tuba, but I found it complemented my sousaphone even more nicely. It seems to give my Conn36k a more concert tuba like sound. Feels great on my chops and seems as if endurance improved as well. I feel 80%+ of tuba mouthpieces have a rim that is too fat. This one is thin, perhaps thinner than the Conn Helleberg. Keeping it!

    Best Mouthpiece!

Right out of the box my range increased a third!
Greater fluidity in upper range. Volume as well.
    Completely thrilled with my purchase.

    Arnold Jacobs Heritage Tuba Mouthpiece

I really like this mp. It fits me and my playing style (concert band and brass quintet) better than any other mp in my collection. More secure on intervals, good high and low range and easier to control dynamics. Rim feels secure without biting.

Nice sound, lightens up my 6/4 tuba and seems to project better. Good articulation response.

    Best Mouthpiece I've Used

Posted by Blake Martin on 19th Sep 2016

I, an 11th grader in high school, have been a tuba player for almost 3 years (yes, a small time). I have used a few mouthpieces, some generic, thick rimmed mouthpieces. For the past year I've used a Conn Helleberg for the past year and have it to be a very good mouthpiece. With all that said, the CBAJ mouthpiece has been the best mouthpiece I've used. It feels comfortable and is not much different in shape than the Helleberg. But what is different makes it the best for me. The rim grips my face enough to play, but not so much that I canr I've my mouth if need be. It has helped my tone and tuning improve, though this could be different for other players. All in all, I would recommend this to any tuba player considering purchasing.

This mouthpiece puts the Perantucci to shame.

This is the most responsive, lightweight, beautiful sounding mouthpiece I have ever owned. There is a reason " Aronld Jacobs " is printed on the mouthpiece. I read in the description that the mouthpiece had an unlimited dynamic range. This is not a lie. My lyrical étude called for a soft start and a louder than ever, I hurt my own ears playing with a good sound. I purchased the silver plate mouthpiece, and it sounds like Jesus came down and touched me while I play. If the silver plate mouthpiece sounds like heaven, just think how the gold mouthpiece would sound.
